JANUARY 29 - FEBRUARY 1, 2026

University of Toronto Model United Nations (UTMUN) is a premier academic experience catered to delegates of all experience levels, backgrounds and expertise and immerse them in the art of diplomacy and international affairs.

Taking place in February of each year, the four-day conference provides high school students with a unique, immersive educational opportunity. Participating delegates are assigned to take on the foreign policy of a United Nations member state within a specific committee or national body to engage in heated debate, negotiation and diplomacy. The 19th iteration of our annual conference will be held from January 22nd to January 25th, 2026 at the University of Toronto St. George Campus.

UTMUN brings together like-minded students from around the world who have an interest for international politics and debate simulation. By participating in Model United Nations, students grapple with the real-world implications of ongoing global catastrophes while simultaneously collaborating with others to build resilient solutions to humanity’s biggest crises.

UTMUN committees cover a wide range of geopolitical and social issues. Year after year, our committees include real UN assemblies to regional bodies, non-governmental organizations, corporate boardrooms, and historical caucuses. In doing so, UTMUN caters to students of all interests and expertise, allowing students to meet others in a collaborative and engaging environment.

UTMUN is staffed exclusively by the students of the University of Toronto, Canada’s most prestigious post-secondary institution, located at the heart of Toronto. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be there to ensure a smooth and enjoyable weekend.
